Brand Design
Part of the complete rebrand of The Calcot Collection, an eclectic group of luxury country house hotels, spas, restaurants and inns across the Cotswolds and Northumberland.
The Lord Crewe Arms is a storybook bolthole, an 11th-century abbot’s guesthouse nestled in the honey-stone village of Blanchland on the edge of the dramatic north Pennines.
Perfect for country lovers, rural romantics or adventurers the hotel features 26 bedrooms, decorated in soothing Pennine hues and serves up food made for feasting and sharing. For meetings and events, they also also have The Gatehouse, located just across the historic square.
With huge personality and a fascinating backstory, branding for the “Crewe” plays on its history and location, often with a dose of humour and Geordie “banter” thrown in for good measure.
The rebrand extended across every aspect of the guest experience, from digital communications and responsive websites to printed collateral and on-property materials. Website design and development was overseen to ensure the brand look and feel carried through to sophisticated booking platforms for rooms, dining, spa treatments and events.
Creative direction also encompassed brand photography and videography, social media imagery and ongoing content, alongside an extensive range of high-end print including brochures, books, menus, wine lists, signage and internal communications.
